Use these guides to configure a provider, choose an available model, check provider status, and understand which content is sent to an external service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure a provider<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Polylang is active, open <strong>Languages \u2192 TranslateSense<\/strong>. The settings page is registered under <strong>Settings \u2192 TranslateSense<\/strong> if Polylang is not active, although Polylang is required for the plugin&#8217;s multilingual workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/ai-automatic-translation-addon-for-polylang\/translatesense-connect-openai\/\">Connect OpenAI<\/a> to configure an OpenAI API key or manage an available WordPress AI Connector.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/ai-automatic-translation-addon-for-polylang\/translatesense-connect-google-gemini\/\">Connect Google Gemini<\/a> to configure Gemini credentials or manage an available connector.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/ai-automatic-translation-addon-for-polylang\/choose-translation-model\/\">Choose a Translation Model<\/a> from the options provided by the configured provider.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/ai-automatic-translation-addon-for-polylang\/verify-provider-configuration\/\">Verify Provider Configuration<\/a>, including connection and model availability.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/?post_type=doc&amp;p=1257\">Use Built-in AI Translation<\/a> for supported on-device browser translation without an OpenAI or Gemini API key.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review data sharing and external services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/ai-automatic-translation-addon-for-polylang\/understand-translation-data-sharing\/\">Understand Translation Data Sharing<\/a> before sending content to a cloud provider.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/docs\/ai-automatic-translation-addon-for-polylang\/review-external-translation-services\/\">Review External Translation Services<\/a> to identify the external API or connector involved in a translation workflow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Save your configuration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After changing the default engine, enabled providers, API credentials, model, or other settings, select <strong>Save Settings<\/strong>. The settings form also supports <strong>Ctrl + S<\/strong>.
