TranslateSense includes an Elementor content parser and translation builder. It reads the page’s Elementor data and uses the active XML rules to translate configured widget fields, including nested field paths where defined. Widgets or settings without matching rules may remain unchanged.
Before translating Elementor content
- Confirm Elementor is editing the intended source or target page.
- Check the source and target languages and their relationship in Polylang.
- Make sure a translation provider is active.
- Review the Elementor XML mapping rules for the widget fields that contain the text you want translated.
Translate the Elementor page
- Open the target-language page in Elementor.
- Select Translate Page in the TranslateSense control in the Elementor editor.
- Choose an active provider in Choose Translation Provider.
- Review the extracted strings in Review Translations. Use the displayed widget and field key to identify each source value.
- Edit any translation that needs correction, then select Apply to Page.
- Inspect the Elementor canvas for missing text, incorrect links, and unexpected layout changes.
- Save or update the page in Elementor/WordPress so the changes are persisted, then confirm the target page remains linked to the correct source in Polylang.
Understand XML mapping
The Elementor translation builder checks widget types and processes fields listed in the Elementor XML configuration. Nested paths can point to values inside settings objects. For example, the bundled rules include a button’s text field and a nested link>url path. This does not mean every widget field is automatically translated.
If a field is missing, check whether a rule exists for the widget and exact field path. Review XML Mapping and Content Rules, Understand Content Field Mapping, and the Elementor troubleshooting guide.
Review the final page
- Check headings, body text, buttons, and mapped link values.
- Confirm images, spacing, responsive layout, and non-text settings remain correct.
- Check the frontend after saving the target page.
