Update Elementor XML Rules

Update existing XML rules when Elementor content structures change.

Update an Elementor XML rule when a widget’s saved field structure changes or the current mapping does not point to the intended text. A change to the XML configuration can affect later extraction, so make a focused edit and verify it on a representative page.

Open the Elementor configuration

  1. Open Languages → TranslateSense when Polylang is active, or Settings → TranslateSense otherwise.
  2. Select the Elementor tab.
  3. Choose Edit ELEMENTOR Config to review the builder’s XML, or choose the widget’s Edit Config control to edit that widget’s rule.
  4. Find the widget by its exact identifier and inspect the configured field paths.

Make and save a focused change

  1. Update only the field path or mapping detail that needs correction.
  2. Keep the XML structure and closing tags balanced. Nested field paths may use the > separator.
  3. Select Save Config.
  4. If saving fails, read the validation error and correct the XML syntax before trying again.

Verify the result

TranslateSense validates XML syntax before saving the configuration, but a syntactically valid rule can still point to the wrong field. Always check the translated result after an update.
