The Contact Form 7 workflow trigger, labeled Contact Form 7 Submitted, starts a workflow when Contact Form 7 fires its mail-sent event. Use it to pass submitted form values to later workflow nodes.

Requirements
- Contact Form 7 must be active on the WordPress site. The trigger is registered only when the integration is detected.
- Create the Contact Form 7 form you want to use before configuring the workflow.
Configure the trigger
- Open Agent Workflows and edit the workflow.
- Add the Contact Form 7 Submitted trigger node.
- Optionally enter a value in Form ID (optional — leave empty for all forms). Leave it empty if this workflow should respond to any Contact Form 7 form.
- Connect the trigger to the next node and use the variable picker to map the submitted values your workflow needs.
- Save the workflow and submit the selected form with test data. Inspect the captured trigger data before activating the workflow for real submissions.
Understand the trigger data
The payload includes source (contact-form-7), event (form_submitted), form_id, form_title, and a fields object. Field keys come from the submitted Contact Form 7 data. Array values are converted to comma-separated text.
When does it run?
The implementation listens to Contact Form 7’s wpcf7_mail_sent hook, which fires after Contact Form 7 sends the mail. If the optional form ID is set, submissions from other form IDs are ignored. A sample payload or editor test is useful for mapping, but verify a real submission separately before relying on the automation.
