The Gemini generate-content action lets a workflow call a Google Gemini model. The plugin also supports connecting a Gemini chat model to an AI Agent. Provider credentials and available text-generation models are handled through the workflow editor.

Configure Google Gemini
- Open the workflow editor and add the Gemini Generate Content action, or add an AI Agent and connect a Gemini chat model.
- Select the Gemini node to open its configuration.
- Enter a valid Google AI API key when prompted. The plugin validates the provider key before accepting it.
- Choose one of the text-generation models returned by the provider. The model list is retrieved dynamically and may change over time.
- Configure the prompt and map the workflow values the model needs.
- Save the workflow and test the node with a representative input. Inspect the output before using it in later steps.
Use Gemini with an AI Agent
Connect a Gemini chat model to the AI Agent node when you want the agent to use Gemini for its model calls. Keep the agent’s prompt and any optional memory, tools, fallback model, or output parser configured on the AI Agent and its attached nodes.
If the model list is empty
- Check that the Google AI API key is valid and was accepted.
- Confirm that the WordPress server can reach the provider API.
- Review any error shown by the node and retry with a supported text-generation model.
- Run a test and inspect the returned content rather than assuming that the credential setup guarantees a successful workflow.
