Nodes are the individual steps in a workflow. The editor groups available nodes into Triggers, Agents, Tools, and Actions. The options shown depend on the node types registered by your site and whether required integrations are available.
Add a node
- Open the workflow in the Workflow Editor.
- In the left Node palette, use Search nodes… or choose a group: Triggers, Agents, Tools, or Actions.
- Select the relevant app or group. If the picker shows another group list, choose the group you need.
- In the picker sidebar, select the node to add it to the canvas.
- Select the new node and configure its required fields in the settings panel.
- Click Save when you are ready to save the workflow.

Choose the right node type
- Triggers start a workflow when the configured event occurs.
- Agents run AI-agent steps using the selected configuration and connections.
- Tools provide workflow logic, including conditions and routing where available.
- Actions perform the registered task, such as sending a request or carrying out an integration action.
Check node availability
Some triggers require another plugin to be active. The picker can mark unavailable integrations and explain which plugin is needed. Activate the required integration before selecting that trigger.
If you select a different trigger while one already exists, the editor warns that the current trigger will be replaced. Review the workflow after changing it, because the new trigger may provide different data.
After adding nodes, see Arrange Workflow Nodes to connect the steps, then Map Trigger Data into Later Steps to pass values between them.
