Configure Groq

Use the Groq chat action for supported workflow tasks.

AI Agent Workflows includes a Groq chat action backed by an OpenAI-compatible provider implementation. The editor retrieves available text-generation models from Groq after the provider API key has been accepted.

Configure Groq

  1. Open the workflow editor and add the Groq Chat action, or connect a Groq chat model to an AI Agent.
  2. Select the node and locate the provider API key field.
  3. Create or copy an API key from the Groq API keys page and enter it in the editor.
  4. Wait for the provider key to be validated and the model list to load.
  5. Choose a text-generation model, configure the prompt, and map the required workflow inputs.
  6. Save the workflow and test the node with a representative payload.

If Groq models do not appear

  • Check that the API key is correct and active.
  • Confirm the WordPress server can reach the Groq API.
  • Review the error shown in the node configuration; the plugin can report provider or model-list errors.
  • Retry the test and inspect the generated output before using it downstream.

The model list is fetched from the provider and can change. Use the models currently returned by the editor instead of relying on a fixed model name in old instructions.
