Embed Forms with Shortcodes

Embed a published Smart Form Builder form in WordPress content with the [dragwyb-form id="123"] shortcode and verify the rendered form.

The

Form not found or invalid.

shortcode renders a saved Smart Form Builder by Dragwyb form in a WordPress post, page, or other content area that processes shortcodes. Replace 123 with the ID of your own form.

Find the form ID

  1. Open the WordPress dashboard and go to Smart Forms → Forms.
  2. Find the form you want to display and note its numeric form ID. If the list offers a shortcode for the form, copy it and check that it uses the dragwyb-form tag.
  3. Confirm the form is published. The shortcode handler checks the form post type and publication status before rendering it.

Add the shortcode to a page or post

  1. Edit the page or post where the form should appear.
  2. In the WordPress block editor, add a Shortcode block, then paste the shortcode using your form ID, for example

    Form not found or invalid.

    .
  3. Update or publish the page.
  4. Open the public page and confirm the form appears in the intended location.

Shortcode behavior and troubleshooting

  • The shortcode accepts the id attribute. If the ID is missing or does not identify a Smart Form Builder form, the handler returns an invalid-form message.
  • If the form is not published, the page displays a status message rather than a public form.
  • If the form has no saved fields, the handler displays a no-fields message.
  • The shortcode uses the same rendering path used by the Gutenberg block and Elementor widget. When WPML or Polylang is active, the handler may resolve a translated form for the current page language.

For public testing, submit a test entry and check the form’s configured submission actions. A shortcode being present in the editor does not by itself confirm that the form is published or that email delivery is working.
