Configure Conditional Field Logic

Configure Enable Logic, Show / Hide, Condition Field ID, Operator, and Value to display or hide a field based on visitor input.

Conditional logic lets a field appear only when a visitor’s answer makes it relevant. Configure the rule on the field you want to show or hide, then select another field as the condition source. For example, a follow-up question can appear when a visitor selects a particular service.

Enable conditional logic

  • In the form editor, select the field whose visibility you want to control.
  • Open its Advance tab and find Conditional Logic.
  • Turn on Enable Logic. This switch is off by default.
  • Under Conditions, configure the rule. Use Add Condition if you need more than one condition.

Configure each condition

  • Show / Hide: choose Show to display the target field when the conditions match, or Hide to hide it when they match. The default action is Show.
  • Condition Field ID: enter the ID of the field whose answer should control the target field. Use the source field’s configured ID and check it carefully for spelling and uniqueness.
  • Operator: select the comparison to perform. The default is Equals.
  • Value: enter the value to compare against. Match the actual option value or input value, not just the wording shown to visitors.

Available operators

  • Equals: the entered or selected value matches the configured value.
  • Not Equals: the value does not match the configured value.
  • Contains: the value includes the configured text or, for a multi-value selection, at least one selected value includes it.
  • Not Contains: the value does not include the configured text.
  • Greater Than and Less Than: compare numeric values. Use these for fields whose values can be meaningfully compared as numbers.

Test the rule

  1. Save the form, then open its frontend preview or published page.
  2. Choose an answer that should satisfy the rule and confirm the target field appears or disappears as intended.
  3. Change the answer so the rule no longer matches and confirm the target field responds.
  4. If you add multiple conditions, test combinations where every condition matches and where at least one does not. Keep the Show / Hide action consistent across those conditions.

Conditional visibility also affects validation and submitted data. See Validate Conditional Fields for the checks to perform when a field is hidden.
