Embed Forms with Elementor

Use the Smart Form widget in Elementor, choose the saved form under Smart Form Settings, and check the published page output.

Smart Form Builder registers an Elementor widget titled Smart Form. Add the widget to an Elementor layout, choose the saved form in Smart Form Settings, and publish or update the page. The widget renders the selected form through the plugin’s shortcode handler.

Add the Smart Form widget

  1. Open the page in WordPress and click Edit with Elementor.
  2. In Elementor’s widget panel, search for Smart Form.
  3. Drag the widget into the section or container where the form should appear.
  4. Open Smart Form Settings and use Select Form to choose the form.
  5. Click Update, then preview the published page.

Available widget control

The inspected widget exposes one content control: Select Form. It lists available form posts by title and ID and marks draft forms. The source does not define separate widget-level style, layout, or form-field controls; form appearance is configured in Smart Form Builder itself.

Troubleshooting

  • If the widget is not listed, confirm that Elementor and Smart Form Builder are active and that the Elementor widget integration has loaded.
  • If the preview asks you to select a form, choose one from the widget settings.
  • If a status or no-fields message appears, confirm the selected form is published and contains saved fields.
  • If the page is multilingual, verify the translation relationship and publication status. The widget calls the shortcode renderer, which attempts to resolve the form for the current WPML or Polylang language.

After updating the page, test the form on the front end. Elementor’s editor preview alone does not verify submission storage, notifications, or SMTP delivery.
