Field order determines the sequence visitors see as they complete a form. You can reposition fields on the canvas, including fields inside a row. Save and preview the form after rearranging its structure.
Move a field on the canvas
- Open the form in the visual editor.
- Locate the field you want to move on the canvas.
- Use the field’s Drag handle to move it to the intended insertion position. Watch for the insertion indicator before releasing it.
- For fields inside a row, place the field in the desired position within that row, or move the row itself when you need to reposition the whole group.
- Save the form and preview it to confirm the new order.
Use the field quick actions
When a field is selected, its canvas actions can include Drag, Duplicate, edit, and delete controls. Rows have their own actions. The form’s submit button cannot be deleted through the field delete action, and a row containing the button cannot be deleted through its row delete action.
Check the final sequence
- Keep related questions together so visitors can follow the form logically.
- Check the order of fields inside each row as well as the order of rows in the form.
- Preview the form at different screen sizes after changing the layout.
