- Why is the form editor blank? — the editor opens, but the canvas or saved field configuration appears empty.
- Why is the form editor not loading? — the editor interface fails to start, scripts do not load, or the screen never finishes loading.
- Why are form submissions not sending email? — entries submit, but an admin notification or user confirmation does not arrive.
- Why are my form submissions not being saved? — a submission does not appear in Smart Forms → Entries, so check the Save Entry action and database setting.
- Why is my form analytics dashboard empty? — visitor data is missing, often because visitor tracking is disabled.
- Why is a field not displayed conditionally? — a field does not appear or hide when a visitor changes another answer.
- Why is an uploaded file rejected? — a file fails the field’s extension, size, or MIME checks.
- How do I reduce spam without blocking real users? — spam protection is rejecting legitimate visitors or letting unwanted submissions through.
Before you change settings
- Confirm the installed plugin version and check that WordPress and PHP meet the plugin requirements: WordPress 5.9 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
- Record the exact form, page, field, and action involved. Reproduce the issue with a test form or test entry where possible.
- Change one setting at a time, save the form, and test again so you can identify which change affected the result.
- Do not share passwords, API secret keys, private submission contents, or visitor personal data when asking for help. Share only the relevant error text with sensitive values removed.
