Install and Choose a Widget

Start with Flipbox Addon for Elementor: install and activate the plugin, find the correct widget in Elementor, configure its controls through the Content and Style tabs, and preview before publishing.

Use this guide to install Flipbox Addon for Elementor, open its widgets in Elementor, and build a first card. The version 2.1.7 source registers three visible widgets: Ultimate Flipbox for one manually configured card, Post Flipbox for queried WordPress content, and Story Flipbox for a manually configured collection.

Before you begin

  • WordPress dashboard access with permission to install and activate plugins.
  • Elementor installed and active. The addon checks for Elementor and shows an admin notice when the dependency is inactive.
  • A test page that you can edit and preview before publishing to visitors.

Choose the right widget

  • Ultimate Flipbox: use this for one card with manually entered front and back content. Start with Create Your First Flipbox.
  • Post Flipbox: use this when cards should be populated from WordPress posts or a supported custom post type.
  • Story Flipbox: use this for several manually configured flipbox items in one widget.

Follow the setup steps

  1. Install the addon using Install Flipbox Addon for Elementor.
  2. Activate the addon and check that Elementor is active using Activate Flipbox Addon for Elementor.
  3. Open a page in Elementor and find the exact widget name in the widget panel. See Flipbox Addon for Elementor Overview to choose the right widget.
  4. Select the widget on the page. Use the Content tab for its content and Layout Settings, and the Style tab for backgrounds, borders, typography, icons, and other available visual controls. The exact sections depend on the selected widget.
  5. Use Preview Your First Flipbox to check both sides, interaction, links, and smaller screen widths before publishing.

How the editor instructions are organized

Each control guide should be followed from the selected widget: open the named Elementor tab, expand the exact section, find the bold control label, and then apply the stated option or value. If a control is not visible, first check that you selected the correct widget and section; some settings appear only for specific widgets or selected options.

Source verification is based on the uploaded plugin ZIP version 2.1.7. The instructions do not claim that a live Elementor editor or a real mobile device was tested during this documentation update.
