Post Flipbox and Dynamic Content

Learn how to add Post Flipbox in Elementor, choose a post type, filter taxonomy terms, configure card content, and select a grid or horizontal slider layout.

The Post Flipbox widget creates animated cards from published WordPress posts or other supported public post types. You choose which content to query, how many matching items to request, what appears on each card’s front and back, and whether the cards use a vertical grid or horizontal slider. The controls below are verified against plugin version 2.1.7; they have not been live-tested in Elementor on your site.

Post Flipbox setup guides

Use these focused guides for each part of the setup:

Where to find the controls

Open WordPress dashboard → Pages → All Pages → Edit with Elementor, then select the Post Flipbox widget on the canvas (or drag it from the widget panel onto the page). Under the widget’s Content tab, expand Post Settings for the content source, taxonomy filters, Order, and Show Post. Expand Post Content and choose Front or Back for card content. Expand Layout Settings to choose Layout Orientation and the layout-specific controls.

Choose a layout and save

  1. In Content → Layout Settings, set Layout Orientation to Vertical for a grid or Horizontal for a slider.
  2. For a vertical grid, use Number of Columns. For a horizontal slider, use Slides Per View and Horizontal Slides Gap; these controls appear only for the matching layout.
  3. Click Update in Elementor, then open the published page to verify the selected posts, card content, and navigation.

The widget queries posts with the publish status. If expected items are missing, check that the source content is published and that the selected taxonomy terms match. Confirm the result on the front end; reading the source verifies registered controls and query logic, but does not replace live testing.
