If a flipbox does not respond to pointer hover, verify the configured event and test the widget with a mouse or trackpad. Hover behavior cannot be triggered in the same way on a touchscreen.
Verify the event control
- Open Elementor Editor and select the affected flipbox widget.
- Check the event control: Event Type for Ultimate Flipbox, or Animation Event for Post Flipbox and Story Flipbox.
- Review the available values, Default and Click. The click option changes the expected interaction, so do not use a click-configured widget to diagnose a hover-only problem.
- Check Animation Type and confirm it is not set to None if an animation is expected.
- Click Update and test the saved page with a pointer device.
Check touch-device behavior separately
Touchscreens do not provide a persistent hover state like a mouse. If the card must be usable on phones and tablets, test the interaction directly on the target device and consider whether click-based interaction better fits the page. Do not treat the absence of mouse hover on a touchscreen as proof that the widget is broken.
