Install and activate Dragwyb Click to Chat before configuring its contact channels, AI Assistant, or Support Center. You can install it from the WordPress plugin directory or upload the ZIP package.
Before you begin
- Sign in to WordPress with an account that can install and activate plugins.
- If you are installing manually, keep the original
dragwyb-click-to-chat.zippackage on your computer. Upload the ZIP as-is; do not unzip it first. - The plugin declares WordPress 5.9 or later and PHP 7.4 or later as its minimum requirements.
Option 1: Install from the WordPress plugin directory
- In the WordPress dashboard, open Plugins → Add New.
- Use the plugin search field and search for Dragwyb Click to Chat.
- Find the plugin named Dragwyb Click to Chat – AI Chatbot, Helpdesk & Lead Generation, then click Install Now.
- When installation finishes, click Activate.
Option 2: Install using the ZIP file
- In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Click Upload Plugin, then click Choose File.
- Select the
dragwyb-click-to-chat.zipfile from your computer. - Click Install Now and wait for WordPress to finish uploading and installing the package.
- Click Activate Plugin.
Open Click to Chat and start setup
- In the WordPress admin sidebar, click Click to Chat. The plugin’s main screen opens under the AI Assistant submenu.
- If the first-run setup wizard opens after activation, continue through its steps. If it does not open, go to Click to Chat → Guide → 4. Setup Wizard and launch the wizard.
- Follow the wizard to configure the modules and the relevant channel, AI, knowledge-base, and support settings. Configure only the features you intend to use.
- To manage module availability later, open Click to Chat → Settings → General.

Confirm that installation worked
- Confirm that Click to Chat appears in the WordPress admin sidebar.
- Open Click to Chat → Guide and confirm the setup guide is available.
- Open Click to Chat → Settings → General to confirm the module settings screen loads.
If the plugin does not appear
- If WordPress rejects the ZIP, check that you selected the plugin ZIP package and try uploading it again without extracting it.
- If activation reports a PHP or WordPress compatibility error, check that the site meets the minimum requirements listed above before continuing.
- If installation and activation succeed but the menu is missing, refresh the admin screen and verify that you are signed in with an account permitted to manage plugins.
