Run the Click to Chat Setup Wizard

Use the onboarding wizard to configure initial modules.

The Dragwyb Click to Chat Setup Wizard guides you through choosing modules, configuring their essential settings, reviewing your choices, and saving the initial configuration. You can run the four-step wizard again whenever you need to adjust your setup.

Open the Setup Wizard

To launch the wizard from the WordPress dashboard:

  • Go to Dashboard → Click to Chat → Guide.
  • Open the 4. Setup Wizard tab.
  • In the setup panel, click Launch 4-Step Setup Wizard.
  • When the wizard opens, select Get Started → to begin. If you do not want to configure the plugin now, select Skip Setup →; you can configure features later from the plugin dashboard.

Step 1: Welcome

The welcome screen introduces the main Click to Chat modules. Select Get Started → to continue to module selection. Use Skip Setup → only if you want to leave the wizard and configure the plugin later.

Step 2: Choose Your Features

Select the modules you want to configure. The wizard prevents you from turning off every module, so keep at least one selected to continue.

  • Social Chat (Floating Widget): Choose this for visitor contact channels and the floating contact widget.
  • Autonomous AI Assistant: Choose this to configure the AI chatbot, its provider, and assistant settings.
  • Support Center Helpdesk: Choose this to configure ticketing and customer support options.

Click Continue → to configure the selected modules. Use ← Back if you need to change your selection.

Screenshot to add: Replace the empty image above with a screenshot of Step 2, “Choose Your Features,” showing the three module cards and their selection states. Make sure the labels are readable and do not include private site information.

Step 3: Essential Setup

The wizard displays configuration controls for the modules you selected. Some controls may not appear if their module is not selected.

  • Social Chat: Set the module’s enabled state and configure the available contact channels, such as WhatsApp, phone, email, and Telegram. Add the corresponding contact details for each channel you intend to use. You can also set the Greeting Badge Text (Call-To-Action).
  • AI Assistant: Set whether the assistant is enabled, choose an AI Provider, enter the provider’s API Key if required, select a Model, and review the Assistant Name and Welcome Message. Available provider choices in the wizard include OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, and Ollama (Local). Choose a provider and model supported by your intended setup.
  • Support Center: Set whether the module is enabled, choose the Default Category and Default Priority for new tickets, and enter the Support Email for notifications. Review the Customer Portal option and decide whether to enable Auto-create Support Portal Page, which creates a page containing the [dctc_support_portal] shortcode.

Review the values you entered before continuing. For an AI provider, use a valid key when one is needed. If a saved key is already configured, the wizard indicates that it can be kept by leaving the key field blank. Do not share screenshots containing full API keys or other secrets.

Screenshot to add: Replace the empty image above with a screenshot of Step 3, “Essential Setup,” showing the configuration cards and setting labels. Hide or blur API keys, email addresses, phone numbers, and any other private values before adding the screenshot.

Click Continue → to open the review screen. Select ← Back if you need to revise your configuration.

Step 4: Review and Complete Setup

  • Review the summary for Social Chat, AI Assistant, and Support Center.
  • Check the enabled or disabled state for each selected module.
  • For the AI Assistant, verify the provider, API key status, model, assistant name, and welcome message shown in the summary.
  • For the Support Center, review the ticket defaults and customer portal options.
  • If something needs changing, use the relevant Edit button or return to an earlier step.
  • When the summary is correct, click Complete Setup → and wait while the wizard saves the configuration.

Verify the setup and change it later

After the wizard reports that setup is complete, use the dashboard to confirm the modules you chose are available. The wizard can be launched again from the Guide screen, and module availability can also be changed from the general settings page.

  • To manage module availability, go to Dashboard → Click to Chat → Settings → 1. General.
  • To revisit the wizard, go to Dashboard → Click to Chat → Guide → 4. Setup Wizard → Launch 4-Step Setup Wizard.
  • If you enabled the Support Center and selected automatic portal-page creation, check the resulting customer portal page. The wizard also offers a View Support Portal link when a portal URL is returned.
